Professional Development

Professional development workshops are held annually on the Utah State campus during the summer. Teachers can attend the weeklong training to develop a variety of skills in watershed sciences that they can apply in their classrooms. Trainings explore applications in Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, and Physics with a focus on the new Utah Science with Engineering Education (SEEd) standards. The training is a hybrid classroom and field format to immerse teachers in fundamental science and engineering practices, learn how to translate them to the classroom, and build a more solid understanding of the new state education standards.

Summer 2021 and 2022 professional development workshops in collaboration with USU GEAR UP.
